27-year-old gov aide, nine other Kwara youths, appointed members of APC presidential council


The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Ibraheem Abdullateef, Special Assistant to the Governor on Communication, as a member of its presidential campaign council. 


In a document released by APC national secretary, senator Iyiola Omisore, on Thursday, Abdullateef was announced as a member of the committee on Strategic Communication. 

He is a 27-year-old writer and budding communications executive.

Kwara also has at least nine other young people in the presidential campaign council. 

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Job Creation, Barr Aliyu AlHassan was appointed as a member of the committee on Support Groups in North Central. 

Senior Special Assistant on SDGs, Dr Jemila Bio Ibrahim, was appointed as member of the committee on SDGs.

Dr. Toba Oloyede, a former House of Representatives aspirant, is on the Medical Committee of the campaign council.

Hon. Zubair Aliyu would serve as Deputy Director of the Youth mobilization committee in North Central. 

Member, Kwara House of Assembly Commission, Hon. Kolawole Bashirat was appointed as a member of Contact and Mobilization committee in North Central. 

Girls child advocate and community organiser, Nafisat Buge was appointed as the North Central Secretary of the Grassroots engagement & Orientation committee.

Media practitioner and aide to senator Yahya Oloriegbe Bolaji Aladie was appointed as a member of the Committee on Public Affairs. 

Women development advocate, Amina Abdullahi, was appointed as member of the committee on Youth Mobilization in North central.

Ahmad Yerima is listed as a member of the Media & Publicity committee. 

The development excites the youth constituency in the state which has been given priority under the ruling party led by Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in Kwara state. 

In 2020, Kwara government appointed 25-year-old Joana Kolo as the commissioner for youths and sports, becoming the youngest ever in the country.

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq is renowned for his passion for youths inclusion and women's development and has won many national and international awards in the last three years.
